What is Sweet Vegetable under Snow?
In the snow area in Japan, some of the farmer keep the vegetables under the snow harvested in the late autumn season. It is because vegetables have trait that trying to protect themselves against freezing in the cold under the snow.
In the process of it, they have a characteristic to convert "starch" into "sugar", so they become more sweeter than autumn one. Moreover, under the snow give them moderate moisture, so they can keep the original freshness of vegetables.
Let's harvest it under the snow！
It is fun to dig vegetables in the snow using a shovel! This activity looks like a treasure hunt… The vegetables carefully dug up are used for cooking.
Home cooking experience with farm mother!
You can also enjoy lunch cooking experience with the vegetables you harvested while listening the farmers' knowledge about vegetables.

Depart from hotels in Asahikawa (free courtesy car or by your own drive)

Outdoor experience (digging up winter vegetables, playing with snow, etc.)
Indoor experience (cooking experience with a farmer's mother)

Tasting lunch after finish cooking
